Do you love hockey? Or are you looking to try something new that’s fun, social, and inclusive? The Sunraysia Walking Hockey Festival is coming to Mildura this October — and everyone is invited to join in the action!
Walking Hockey is a non-contact, slower-paced version of traditional hockey that’s taking off across Australia. It’s ideal for adults, kids, beginners, and anyone wanting a low-impact way to enjoy the game. With all the strategy, teamwork, and community spirit of hockey—just at a walking pace—it’s the perfect blend of fun, fitness, and friendship.
“Walking Hockey is about bringing people together,” say the event organisers. “It’s a chance to connect with like-minded legends, stay active, and enjoy the great game in an inclusive and welcoming environment.”
For people new to the sport, there will be the opportunity to attend a 30 minute introductory session prior to playing.
Whether you're a seasoned hockey player or completely new to the sport, this is your chance to give it a go! It will be a lot of fun, and the more the better!

Date: Saturday 11 – Sunday 12 October 2025
Times: Saturday 1–5pm | Sunday 9am–12pm
Location: Sunraysia Hockey Pitch, Aerodrome Ovals (off Eleventh Street)
Cost: $5 per person
No running. No contact. Just good vibes on the pitch.

- Please register for the event to be covered by Hockey Victoria for the event (no need to be a Hockey Victoria member for interstate or non-hockey players)
